So it's getting down to the end of, well, college, and we're all scared to death and excited about getting jobs and jumping out into "The Real World." As I anxiously wait to hear (or to not hear) from whomever I've sent books to, I rather frantically revise and create work for my portfolio, and also the upcoming BFA Gallery Show. I've been not-so-great at scanning and posting my sketchbook stuff, or things I've been doing for Barron's class. Really, I just have recompilations of things you've already seen. BUT...I do have new portfolio pages of THE CAMEL, and Pong, the puppeteer. So, for your consideration, some more mock-vector drawings, and expressions/gestures. --Lauren

Doodles and Prints...
Hey All. I've gotten really into this mock printmaking technique that Barron showed my conceptual illustration class. I love trying different things and seeing what happens...(wow, how fine-artsy!). The cowboy-target piece is for "The Penny Arcade" project we're just wrapping up now, and the pinup was just for fun. She's not done yet...something must go in the upper quarter, but I don't know what that is yet :-). Also, some sketches...a very Warcraft-like lady warrior, and a random girl flying through the air-->always a barrel of laughs :-). --L

From Bishop, With Love...
So I attempted to capture the awe that was the Buttermilks at Bishop, but I sorta just blobbed paint on the paper and hoped for the best :-). These came out alright...the key to painting the rocks and mountains was the shadows, but I didn't always succeed at that :-). It was all so overwhelming! (And yes, that tent is ours :-) What a great trip! (Course, this is what we were REALLY here for-- that's me :-)
