The "Crew of You" ...er...Me

For Barron's class, the assignment was to design six characters that represent aspects of yourself. They were NOT to be in any known style, like Disney, Nickelodeon, or Pixar "style," but be purely YOU. What fun! There were some specifics: 2 a different gender; 2 a different age; 1 a different species; 1 "multiple" character (like a flock of birds, or a storm trooper); 1 has a unique relationship with a force of nature. Some secondary things to think about: who is the protagonist, antagonist, friend, mentor/teacher, villain, and the "access" (regular joe) character? He also gave us some archetypes: the king, the magician, the lover, monster, and warrior. Just avenues to take, things to think on. So here are the characters I came up with. I won't explain them...just... here's the art! --L

Hooray for Gold Leaf!

Here are two more "bits" for Barron Story's generations project. The headless one is Anne Boleyn (apologies for the not-great scan), and the gold one is Katherine of Aragon. I've had some fun painting on fabric, and plastering on lace :-). I have some fun plans for the next three wives, involving fabrics and papers, etc. The last drawing isn't a wife, just a "sentiment" drawing (that sentiment being, of course, very angry)...

STUFF

Here's a bunch of stuff I've been working on or just drawing for fun. I redesigned David of Sassoun's horse, at the suggestion of John Ramirez, so here he is, along with the villian "Melik." Also, my first "bit" for Barron Story's "generations" project...this is my take on Henry VIII's third wife, Jane Seymour. The rest of this stuff is, well, just doodles :-). --L
