This is a design for "Emily Vales," from a short story entitled "Little Lewis Has Had a Lovely Sleep." This is the last project for VisDev, and I'm having a bit of fun with it. I've decided to set the story in 1940s Cuba, instead of 1970s Australia, and so I am having fun with architecture, set dressing, and character design. There's nothing in the story indicating Ms. Vales' appearance, so I decided to make her a large, Black, Cuban woman. I'm diggin' the project and will post up some interior drawings in a few days.
